John Kinder Theological Library

The  John Kinder Theological Library is the library and archives for St John's College as well as the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia Te Hahi Mihinare ki Aotearoa ki Niu Tireni, ki Nga Moutere o Te Moana Nui a Kiwa. Although based on the St John's College site, the library also has responsibilities to the whole Church and all its theological educational enterprises as shown in the vision statement

Vision
As a resource for the whole Church, the Kinder Library supports in a collaborative manner St John's College and regional resource centres, and will ensure access to the information resources of this Church and beyond

The Library's key role for St John's College and Trinity Methodist College is to support the courses taught by the University of Auckland's School of Theology as well as ministry training, worship preparation and general theological reading. It offers a substantial collection of current theological books, databases, and periodicals as well as research level collections, especially in the history of the Anglican and Methodist Churches in New Zealand and the Pacific. The library provides study space, with access to computers and the internet.

The Kinder Library web page www.kinderlibrary.ac.nz provides access to the library catalogue, a range of databases, information about the library and its services as well as links to relevant theological web sites.
